The company supplies markets in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Somali, South Sudan and the DRC. Its retail paint range includes emulsion water-based paints, roof paint, wood finishes, textured finishes and special effects, floor paints and gloss/oil-based paints. Its construction and industrial division range includes Polyfilla, primers, undercoats, fillers and skimming products as well as an automotive range that includes metallic paint and 2K acrylic systems and nitrocellulose systems. Other products produced by Crown Pains Kenya include paint for road markings, and applications for tiles, leather, wood, fabricators and paper. Service operations include computerized tinting machines capable of dispensing a range of over 6,000 shades in a few minutes. Formerly known as Crown Berger Kenya Limited, the company changed its name to Crown Paints Kenya Limited in 2012. The company has its head office in Nairobi, Kenya. It was founded in 1958 and listed in 1992.
